Cet article étudie un aspect du problème indiqué dans son titre: « Comment pouvons-nous exprimer le fait que l’espace a exactement trois dimensions en utilisant seulement les outils de la géométrie synthétique classique ? » en interrogeant l’histoire des mathématiques, d’Euclide à Pasch.

Abstract

In the following text we will study one aspect of the problem indicated in its title: How can we express the fact that space has exactly three dimensions using only the tools of classic synthetic geometry?
