Résumé

Cette publication se veut un hommage à Giorgio Bagni un an après son décès et traite du travail que l’auteure a accompli avec lui en 2007 à l’occasion du 150e anniversaire de la mort d’Augustin Louis Cauchy. Le point de départ a été de donner aux enseignants et aux élèves locaux des informations sur les deux années, de 1836 à 1838, passées à Gorizia par A.L. Cauchy. Il aborde aussi la question de l’héritage que ce grand mathématicien a laissé aux étudiants et aux enseignants de nos jours par le biais d’une approche épistémologique et herméneutique de l’histoire des mathématiques.

Abstract

This publication is meant to be a tribute to Giorgio Bagni a year after his passing away and it deals with the work we did together in 2007 on the occasion of Augustin Louis Cauchy’s 150t h death anniversary. The starting point was giving to the local teachers and students information ab out the 2 years, from 1836 to 1838 that A.L. Cauchy spent in Gorizia. Moreover we aimed to afford the question of the inheritance this great mathematician left to nowadays students and teachers by means of an epistemological and hermeneutic approach to history of mathematics.
