Walther Franz Anton von Dyck (1856-1934), mathématicien allemand.
Il a fait ses études à Munich, Berlin et Leipzig où Klein a été son directeur de thèse (1879).
Il a apporté une importante contribution à la théorie des fonctions, à la théorie combinatoire des groupes.
Il a donné son nom à un langage formel, le langage de Dyck, au graphe de Dyck ainsi qu’aux mots de Dyck .
